About the Learning Center

Welcome to the Georgia Public Library Service Learning Center!

This site was launched in July 2016 as a central clearinghouse for Georgia’s library-related continuing education needs.

The Learning Center is a new platform for all library-focused training; this is where GPLS will host all archived webinars, new self-paced courses, and our training calendar. Users will need to register for a new account, and they can earn certificates for completing courses.

This site was designed to be your one-stop resource for your library learning needs. On this site, you’ll find:

  • Archives from recent webinars hosted by GPLS
  • Self-paced courses developed on topics like GLASS, PINES, and more
  • Details about upcoming training events and webinars
  • Links to Skillport and lynda.com
  • Information about CE rules and requirements
  • Great features like customized certificates, shareable badges, and more

This web site and other Georgia Public Library Service programs are partially assisted with funds from the Library Services and Technology Act through the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

For questions or comments about the Learning Center, you can contact Wendy Cornelisen, Assistant State Librarian for Library Innovation and Collaboration at the Georgia Public Library Service, at wcornelisen@georgialibraries.org.

Happy learning!
